Katherine Short named to 2011 Canada Winter Games Team

Katherine Short above with her long time coach Louise Loriaux-Mathers.
Katherine is also coached by Nancy Harvey.
- Katherine Short (Novice Women) was named to the Nova Scotia team which will compete at the
2011 Canada Winter Games (Halifax) in February 2011. Figure Skating events will be held at
the St. Margaret's Centre.

14 Oct 2009 - BSC Executive attended the official announcement and groundbreaking of the new 4-Pad Arena Complex, 61 Gary Martin Dr. Bedford.
The new facility is scheduled for opening in the fall of 2010.
Katherine Short winner of Skate Canada Bursary

Congratulations to Katherine Short, 2009 winner of the "1983 Skate Canada Bursary" for
Nova Scotia. Also winning at the Nova Scotia awards was Bedford's Canskater of the Year, Yingtong Gao,
who took home the provincial honour.
Delaney Henderson awarded NS Test Achievement Award!

Congratulations to Bedford Skating Club's Delaney Henderson for winning the
NS Section Test Achievement Award. Delaney passed the most Skate Canada tests of
any Nova Scotian skater in the 2007-2008 season! Way to go, Delaney!!
Fallis Thompson Program Assistant of the Year

The Bedford Skating Club is very proud to announce Fallis Thompson as our Program Assistant
of the year for 2007-2008. Fallis’ spirit and dedication to our CanSkate program and to
figure skating makes her a great role model for our younger skaters. Congratulations Fallis!
