The Programs - Where do you fit?

The Bedford Skating Club offers a number of Skate Canada sanctioned programs. 

 

CANSKATE  Pre-Canskate - introductory program for skaters who have little to no skating experience. Must be Age 4+ by program start date. 
  Canskate - Stages 1-6 learn to skate program for all ice sports (hockey, ringette, speed skating, figure skating) Skaters who have previous skating experience and/or have completed the Pre-Canskate program can register for this program.  Must be Age 4+ at time of registration. 
  Teen Canskate - Stages 1-6 / Age 12+ - learn to skate program for all ice sports (hockey, ringette, speed skating, figure skating) Skaters who have previous skating experience and/or have completed the Pre-Canskate program can register for this program.
PRE - ACADEMY 

Stages 2-4 with an interest or talent identified for Figure Skating - invited by our Skate Canada Certified Coaching Team.

This program usually happens during our Regular Canskate sessions. 

 

JUNIOR ACADEMY 

Canskate Stage 4-6 - Accelerated Canskate program with a figure skating focus. Skaters must be invited to this program or must apply to register. Please email bedfordskatingclub@hotmail.com 

STARSKATE 

 

ACADEMY BRONZE

  • STAR 1-3 
  • and/or No Axel 
  • and/or Under 14 

ACADEMY SILVER

  • STAR 4-5 / PRE-JUV 
  • AND/OR NO AXEL 
  • AND/OR 14+ 

ACADEMY GOLD 
  • STAR 6+ & JUV+ 
  • Existing Star 5 & PreJuv/Juv who have already done sessions with this group. 

ACADEMY ELITE 

JUNIOR ELITE 

  • Pre-Juv/Juv with 2A+ 

 

SENIOR ELITE 

  • Pre-Novice+ having qualified for at least Challenge the year prior.

Club and Academy FLOW Chart
